Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested Munna Singh, a 35-year-old resident of Sohal village, on Saturday in Samba district for possessing an illegal revolver. This incident occurred during a routine patrol when police noticed Singh acting suspiciously near JDA Colony.
The police spokesperson reported that Singh was heading towards Kikri Morh from Data Talab when authorities observed his unusual movements. Upon noticing the police, Singh tried to flee but officers quickly apprehended him.
During the search, police discovered a revolver in Singh’s possession. He could not provide a valid license or any legal permission to carry the firearm, prompting police to act decisively.
Authorities have registered a case under the necessary provisions of the Arms Act at the Bari Brahmana police station. Investigations are currently ongoing, focusing on Singh’s activities and potential network.
