Police and BSF Conduct Major Search Operation in Jammu

In a proactive security move ahead of Independence Day, Jammu and Kashmir Police collaborated with the Border Security Force (BSF) to conduct a significant cordon-and-search operation near the International Border in Jammu. This operation took place on Sunday evening, as part of intensified area domination efforts aimed at ensuring safety during the festive period.

The joint operation commenced at around 6 pm in Aik Nallah, Kool Kalan, and surrounding areas managed by the Arnia Police Station. Authorities emphasized the importance of these routine security measures, especially leading up to national celebrations where security is paramount.

During this operation, security personnel meticulously examined approximately 15 houses and ‘kullas’ (shacks) within the cordoned areas. The thoroughness of the inspection reflects the commitment of law enforcement agencies towards maintaining public safety and deterring potential threats.

A police spokesman highlighted that the exercise forms part of broader surveillance efforts and area domination strategies adopted by security forces. These measures foster a secure environment for the local populace as they approach Independence Day.

Officials confirmed that the situation remained peaceful throughout the duration of the operation, with no incidents reported that could disrupt the local order. This outcome underscores the effectiveness of the coordinated actions between Jammu and Kashmir Police and the BSF.

Security in the region continues to be a priority, particularly during sensitive times, as both forces work tirelessly to uphold peace and prevent any untoward occurrences. The collaboration between various security agencies illustrates a collective commitment to national safety.

As the community prepares for Independence Day festivities, local residents can feel reassured by the ongoing patrols and security operations aimed at building an atmosphere of trust and safety in Jammu.
